Elibility Criteria

Eligibility for Admission:
A. Honours Course :  For Honours Course a student should have passed in 10 + 2 Course from WBCHSE or any other equivalent examination along with English as a subject of 100 Marks. Admission to the Honours Course is strictly made according to the norms of the Gour Banga University, Malda, which are to be followed:
(a) 45 % Marks in aggregate or,
(b) 40 % Marks in aggregate and 50 % marks in the concerned subject.
(c) For SC / ST candidates, the minimum marks for eligibility will be
     (i) 40 % marks in aggregate or, (ii) 35 % of marks in aggregate with 50 % marks in the concerned subject.
(d) Admission to a course would be done according to the intake capacity.
(e) However, as per the rules of the Govt., 22 % and 6 % of seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates respectively.
(f) In case of admission on transfer, which shall not be permitted other than in first year of degree classes (hons and Gen), a student will be offered only that subjects which will match with this college and the previous one where he / she studies.

B. General Course :  For General Course a student should have passed in 10 + 2 Course from WBCHSE or any other equivalent examination along with English as a subject of 100 marks.

C. In case of taking Geography as an elective subject preference will be given to the students of General Course.
Documents Required For Admission :
1. M.P. Admit Card : One attested copy along with the original.
2. H.S. Mark Sheet : One attested copy along with the original.
3. Character / Leaving Certificate from the school / college last attended.
4. Three (3) copies of stamp size photographs (one attested)
5. Original along with one attested copy of Caste Certificate for SC / ST / OBC students.
6. Original Migration Certificate for the students migrated from other Board / University.
7. Attested copy of BPL card or Income Certificate of the guardian be produced at the time of admission.
8. Requisite Fees (up-to-date).
9. Registration Form duly filled in (available from office)
10. Candidate's presence must be required during admission.
